A Bird. A Plane. A Statue!

Metropolis, Illinois predates the Superman phenomenon and was completely unrelated to the fictional city. It has, however, adopted Superman as its most famous native son. This big statue looks out over the small town's main street.

I wish I looked this good in tights. Makes me wonder what kind of statue Gays, Illinois should erect...
