Passing the Peace

The sculpture to the left represents the peace that has more or less come to Guatemala since the accords were signed in 1996. Every morning at eleven an honor guard of sorts changes the white rose that lays always in the palms. It was pretty cool and not really a touristy event. I was there with three women from California. One of them was given the old flower.
