It's still an awfully long time till I leave next March, but I am actually starting to do some things to get ready. There'll probably come a time when I want to remember what I was up to in the months leading up to this, and so it begins.

For the next nine months or so there probably won't be much of interest to anybody but me. Many of these entries may not even be about my trip. But it's a start and it gets me accustomed to keeping a journal online.
